Hi Maxine
Hope you are well. Just thought I would drop you a few lines about
Milo.
He is still a lovely boy!!
He has qualified for 2nd round Trailblazers dressage so we are off
to Golden Cross on May 4th to try and get to Stoneleigh!
I took him to the beach for the first time last week and he was such
a good boy, he loved it! He was abit dubious about the waves but
they all are till they get used to it. We also went to a UK chasers
course at the weekend where he was in his element!!
I'm sure he's growing, he looks huge in my lorry now!
When I eventually get some pictures that do him justice I will send
you one at last.
Regards
Mary

Derryvale hero another super horse sold at Lower Barn photo is of him
competing in his new home |
Hi Maxine
Just wondering if you have got the info on Milo's breeding yet? And
also I wanted to tell you how pleased I am with him, I absolutely
love him, he is so sweet! I am almost too scared to tell people how
lovely he is because I don't want to tempt fate and it all go wrong!
He's settled in really well now, his eyes cleared up after some eye
drops from the vet. We've been hacking out lots and he is fantastic
in the traffic, we get loads of tractors, lorries etc round here and
he doesn't mind any of them. On Sunday I took him and my
friend's horse up to a UK Chasers course and we had a fantastic
ride, he led all the way and I was brave enough to do some small
jumps and he was so well behaved! Its actually made me realise just
how much my last horse worried me, I am constantly thinking what's
going to happen next, but so far he's just looked after me! I
am planning to go to local dressage mid November if all goes
well. The annoying thing is that I've got to have another knee op
next week and won't be able to ride for a couple of weeks and I
don't want to do that! My husband likes him too and he's not
into horses at all. Fingers crossed that he carries on being a
good boy!
Regards
Mary

Hi Maxine,
I just thought I'd mail you as I saw you
had entered Munstead back in September and was hoping I'd bump into you
with Hugo. We competed at Intro that day and came 4th, he is doing
really well and is placed dr, sj & ode every time we are out! Hoping
to move up to Pre-Novice by the end of next season too.
Many many thanks,
Alex

Hi Maxine
Thought I would let you know how well Freddie is doing
- everyone loves him at Oaklands College and he has
settled in really well. He is such a character and has
now become quite affectionate
I could never part with him ever and I will always be
grateful to you for encouraging me to buy him when I
was having last minute doubts and worries - he is the
horse I always dreamed of owning!
Hope you are well.

Dear
Maxine I hope you got the photo of Ash and me alright at Christmas –
sailing over the medium height jumps at our local show – we came 5th!
He is truly wonderful and I’m so lucky to have found him thanks to
you. Our dressage has come on in leaps and bounds – we came from
a fairly disastrous session a couple of weeks ago, to winning the class
on Saturday against some pretty decent competition, so I am on cloud
nine! His jumping was always good and is now getting better and
he’s giving me so much confidence that you probably wouldn’t
recognise me. We love him hugely and he is a star. Hope all is well with
you – best wishes Amanda

Wanted to let you know how Belle is getting on.
We moved her to a new yard in a place called
Eynsham Park, similar to blenheim estate, in july. She has really
settled in and as it is such a clam yard it has had the same effect on
her. Last summer we spent mostly having fun out hacking with a bit of
schooling here and there. More recently though we have been
concentrating more on her schooling so that she could possibly do some
competing this season. Before now i hadn't really jumped her much...
but a log out hacking made me realise that she has got quite a nice jump
on her. Within three weeks she was jumping 3ft which i was very
chuffed with. I loose schooled her at 1.30m and she was still leaving
a lot of room, but i have decided to concentrate more on technique for
now.
Also, Last september we took her to the
Blenheim Sponsored ride which was a week after the 3 day event. Which
was a complete pleasure as she was exceptionally well behaved, even
though her friend was not quite as good. She was quite happy for other
horses to canter past and to even go into the lake.... Although she
was not too sure about the size of some of the jumps that we walked up
to! She took the whole day in her stride which made me very confident
about taking her out in the future.
All round she is a fantastic little horse who
is definately part of the family now. She is the horse we have always
wanted her to be from the start... She is very happy, and even
whinneys at us and trots up to us to catch her in the field. We even
caught dad having a cuddle the other day! She is loved very much and
knows it!
Hopefully in the summer we will be able to
take her out and about, Possibly some BSJA and maybe intro BE.
I work for Kitty Boggis, who events in the GB
eventing team and i have gained so much experience from going there
and i enjoy it very much and feel quite privilaged to be trusted with
all the horses there! I am also studying a Foundation Degree in Equine
Science and Management at Oxford Brookes University which means i am
getting lessons up to twice a week which is very beneficial to
the work i have been doing with Belle.

Hello Maxine,
Just thought I would give you a quick email to let you know how
orlando is getting on. He is a great horse and although you made me
jump him first time I got on him I'm glad you did, he is a great horse
to ride and a pleasure to have in the stables. I don't think you could
have found as a better horse for us.
Thank you Carly burgess

Hi Maxine

great horse Regards Jenny

Hi Maxine
Just thought I would let you
know that Casper is doing great. We did the riding club camp
this week and he was placed second in the ODE. He won a rosette for
the fastest round XC too. The instructor really wants him and
has said that if I ever sell him, I have to ask her first. We got
62% in our first dressage test and even had a 8 for one of our moves.
Thanks for a great horse. When I get photos I will e-mail
one to you.

Hi Maxine
Just a quickie to let you know how Rosie
is getting on.......
She has been great and I really feel like
I am getting to know her. My vet has aged her as four years old
but she really has a sensible head on her shoulders. I took her
on a sponsored ride and she didn't put a hoof wrong - she was so solid
and sensible. I had been really nervous but had a great
time. We are going to go out soon and do our first Prelim
dressage - sadly I am away for the October one but November seems to
be the time!! We are also going cross country next week and I am
taking her to an indoor school for a lesson before the dressage.
She is just brilliant to put in the trailer and I can take her
anywhere. Such a relief to have found such a sensible horse!!!
Do you have another?????? Seriously, I have a friend who is
on the lookout for something similar, so if you know of anything very
sensible but still fun, about 15hh to 15.2hh, please let me know!!!
Many Thanks
Kate (and Rosie) x

03.08.06 Hi Maxine
I just wanted to let you know that woody is doing great, I feel that
I've owned him for years. He was fab at camp, everyone loved him he
didn't put a foot wrong, got excited cross country and had a little stop
at a ditch, but seeing as that's all he did wrong I can't complain.
He has settled really well and am taking him to his first show on sat,
and are competing in the Riding club teams.
Thanks once again.

Dear
Maxine, I just thought I’d drop you a quick line to say that
‘Ash’ is a major poppet and we’re having a lot of fun! I have
signed up for our first two public appearances and hope they go well.
I will let you know! Everyone who has met him thinks he is
wonderful and he IS! He’s settled in very well and seems very happy in
one of the big fields here at the Farm. He comes over to me when I
want to bring him in and is terribly excited when he gets his ‘tea’
(I’ve introduced a small meal of chaff and cool cubes as he’s
working quite hard)! Hope all is well with you and maybe when I’ve got
a bit more confidence, you’ll see me sailing over some bigger jumps at
East Bysche
or Blue Anchor!
Very
best wishes
Amanda

Hi Maxine
Just a quick note to say Happy Christmas, and to let you know how I'm
getting on with Ashley, purchased from you this year. He is
everything you said he was and more. He is a lovely chap, and a
super ride, alone or in company, but boy can he eat! I'm
planning on some dressage over the Winter and Jumping clinics which
will help get my confidence up. I'll send you some more pictures
when I have them! Thank you.

heya Maxine!
i thought id let you know how Dj (dougal) is doing! i could not be
happier with him still!! I have realised this month that i have my
complete confidence back!!! i did my first competition on Dj, we did
XC which is definitely his thing, we did a good clear round! when we
bought him, we thought he wouldn't be the greatest jumper...but
wow!!!! he has a pop on him! we recently moved yards and everyone
loves him here!
his jumping is coming on leaps and bounds, i was jumping him3ft 3
yesterday...and we have loosed jumped him 4ft 3...I was to scared to
put it up higher on my own though!
although flatwork isn't his best aspect he's really coming on. you
would be so proud of him! I know I am!

I've attached some recent photos :)

Hi Maxine
Just thought I'd let you know how Ataboy is getting on. I have given
him the stable name 'Alby' as it means white in Irish and he
suits him! I took him to several shows throughout the summer and we
were placed every time out. He is a very sweet natured horse and
everything your advert said. I am very happy with him and he settled
in really well. I am aiming to do dressage with him throughout the
winter months and if I'm brave enough tackle the odd cross country! Us
oldies aren't as brave as the youngsters!!
Kind regards
Christine Duke

Hi Maxine
Just
to up date you on how Razz (chuckles) is doing. I had hoped to
affiliate him this year but with me being in my final year at
university I just couldn’t find the time so he has just been to
local comps and schooling sessions. Mum and I took him on
holiday with our riding club and he was a real hit and an absolute
start when hacking around Ringstead and on Hunstanton beach. His
dressage is coming on leaps and bounds and he always gets high marks
for his paces. In fact he gets so excited going out and about to
dressage and sj that he sometimes thinks he knows best! I have
been offered obscene amounts of money for him by one judge who I have
run into several times, even when in the last test the excitement got
to much and he let of some cheerful bucks during his canter. Any way,
with any luck he will be out and about more next year and we will
affiliate him even if it’s just for indoor BSJA for next winter.
Will let you know how he gets on.
Here
are some pics from this year. Evelyn

Hi Maxine,
Kayleigh here, was just letting you know how rocky (doc) is
getting on. He had his first hunter trials last weekend and
went clear in fantastic style, he loved every minute of it and he
had his first dressage test last nite and got 51.36% (pretty good
after he spooked down one side at the white boards and neighed
pretty much the whole way through hehe). He really is a star
to have, he's so willing and eager to please me the whole time and
he definitely knows who his mummy his ( though he always did from
the start) cuddling into me and neighing at me when i come round the
corner. As you can see from the photos his fly bites have
cleared up and hes put on muscle everywhere, he almost looks like a
different horse. He's my dream come true (what a cliche) but
he is and we have lots planned for him.
Regards,
Kayleigh and Rocky xxx

Joe is settling in fine, he has got quite a character already! We
have discovered that he quite likes apple but he loves carrots (he
nods his head whenever we give him one!) and he hasn't stopped
eating since he arrived. Yesterday, we tried to give him a drink of
water out of a bucket, he just picked it up and threw it on the
ground! He also begins to yawn if we take too long brushing him out!
He has been a great hit with our friends who came to visit him the
other day and thought that he was lovely. We have also had quite a
few passers by stopping to admire him.
Look forward to hearing from you soon,
from all the Whites.

Hi
Maxine
Im just writing to you because i wanted to tell you how well me and
tommi
are going ! We went to are first show last week . When we got there i
thought the day was going to be a disaster But as i went to do my 1.6
class
he flew round them and we got double clear rounds on 1.6 and 1.9 . We
would
of got a clear round in the 2.0 but there was a nasty last jump but i
was so
pleased with him that day ! I also came 4th in Condition & Turnout ,
5th in
Pony club Pony & 6th in handsomest gelding ( even though i think he

Hi,
More good news, Harry and I won a dressage class at the weekend !
We won P7 and were then 2nd in P18 - although I claim moral victory
for that too as we were only beaten by a horse that then went on to
win the novice class as well. What can I say, he's ust gorgeous
!!!!
You must let me know when your next competing I'd love to come and
cheer you on. You'll have to be strong and keep the next horse for
yourself ! If I had a pound for every time someone commented on how
lovely Harry is I'd be rich, I always make sure I let them know where
I got him from.
Take care
Jo xx

Well done to Tilly's new owners who are
doing exceptionally well, competing XC and coming 2nd in their first
event and doing very well with their dressage.
|
|

Philosophers Stone (Harry)
Harry and his new owner are
doing so well he took part in their first dressage test and gained 65%!
and also went clear XC in the pairs competition although Harry ended up
leading the more experienced horse around the course and through the
water, well done and I can see a successful future in front of them.
|

Ainsley's owner is getting on
great with him they have their sights on eventing next year, he has a
huge jump and his flat work is coming on well. Good luck for the future
